After twelve years and serving over 15 million websites,
AddThis has become the most recognizable brand for share buttons across the
web. As we look ahead, our team will be putting more focus on helping online retailers get the most value
out of their websites.
Our current website tools can help online retailers reduce cart abandonment, increase
sales, capture leads and more. We look forward to working with
publishers and getting feedback to enhance these features.
Here are a few ways these tools can help you achieve your ecommerce goals:
As of December 12, 2018, AddThis has removed Google+ from our list of social sharing networks. Due to Google’s recent data breaches, we feel it’s in the best interest of our users’ security to deprecate the Google+ share button preemptively.
Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. The organization’s website, childmind.org, provides content and resources to help those in need.
Mobile traffic has become an increased priority for the Child Mind Institute and they’ve recently implemented Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) to provide a better user experience for mobile visitors. Since implementing AMP in November 2017, they now see an average page speed of 3.1 seconds compared to their previous page speed of 7 seconds.
Just because AddThis is now free, doesn’t mean we’re slowing down on pushing out more great features and functionalities! We recently rolled out AddThis Inline Share Buttons for AMP and it’s is ready for you to integrate into your AMP compatible site.
It’s summertime but we’re not hitting the beach (yet)! We’ve been working hard to get product updates out the door, from a fancy new tool configurator to GDPR-related items. Here is a list of what’s new with AddThis:
We are excited to announce the release of our new Tool Configurator redesign! Here at AddThis, we are constantly working hard to make our tools as easy to use as possible. This way, you can spend less time worrying about your website and more time focusing on everything else you have going on in your life.
If you are using our List Building tool to help capture your visitors’ email addresses, it is a good practice to regularly download the CSV file associated with the tool. For example, if you’re sending out marketing emails every week, you should be downloading your list just as often to make sure you are including your fresh sign-ups on the latest send.
Starting May 15, to ensure that publishers are keeping their lists up-to-date, your lists will need to be downloaded at least every 6 months. AddThis will no longer be storing your email lists indefinitely.
We believe that website security is so important, we created an entire eBook dedicated to keeping your online presence safe.
